Announcement Concerning the Acquisition of Fortissimo Shares
TOKYO, June 3, 2019 – MetLife Insurance K.K. (Representative Statutory Executive Officer, Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer Eric Clurfain, hereinafter “MetLife Japan”) announced today that it acquired 100 percent of the stock of Fortissimo Co., Ltd. (Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Hisashi Hidaka, hereinafter “Fortissimo”).
Fortissimo has been providing peace of mind to its customers for 20 years as a comprehensive agency selling products offered by MetLife Japan and other life insurance companies, as well as products from non-life insurance companies. With its customer-centric philosophy of “everything we do is for people,” Fortissimo shares MetLife’s values of keeping its promises to its customers. By becoming a part of MetLife Japan, Fortissimo will be in a position to further grow as a comprehensive insurance agency and provide more value and continue to exceed the expectations of its customers.
